Baby Dedication

Baby Dedication is a time for parents to publicly pledge to raise their child to love God and know His Son.  It's very different than infant baptism or christening.  Baby Dedication in no way confers salvation on the child, as the decision to accept Jesus as Savior is a personal one, made by each individual.

Baby Dedication is a family affair!  We invite moms and dads who are participating in the service to extend an invitation to grandparents and other family members, so that the whole family can take part in the promise to do everything possible to point this precious child toward Jesus Christ.  During Baby Dedication, parents are asked to share a special verse that is meaningful to them.  Pictures of each child are shown, and one of our ministers prays a special prayer of dedication for the families involved. 

At Istrouma, we desire a true partnership with families as they raise their children to love the Lord.  We believe that Baby Dedication is just the beginning!
