WAM...Worship and Music
What is WAM?
WAM stands for Worship and Music, and is an exciting program offered for older preschoolers and children. WAM takes place on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the Bain Building. There is no registration fee.
This semester our WAM kids will be looking at Romans 12 and how to worship the Lord by serving Him through our everyday actions. In WAM, kids will learn that worship is much more than the songs we sing to God. It is a lifestyle of obedience offered to our awesome God!

Three and four year olds (three year olds must turn three by September 30, 2007) will learn new songs and movements, play games, make crafts, and complete worksheets that reinforce the lesson for the week. This allows the children to be active participants in a wide variety of ways to worship while keeping their shorter attention spans. Worship is a lifestyle, not just a song we sing. In WAM, even preschoolers will be challenged to worship God through their everyday activities.
Kindergarteners and 1st graders spend time together each week in a small group. Here they focus on a bible verse or story that teaches the same truth found the music they are learning. They enjoy crafts, activities and games that also reinforce the lesson and allow them time to have fun with one another. They then move into a special worship time just for K/1 WAM kids! During their worship time they learn great new songs to sing to God and songs that encourage us to love and serve Him.
2nd through 5th graders enjoy a variety of activities in both large and small groups. This includes a group worship time focused on thanking, praising and serving the Lord. Children in the 2nd through 5th grade also choose from several electives to participate in. These may include drama, art, video, movement, ensemble, instruments and recreation. (Additional electives coming soon!) What a great opportunity to learn more about our awesome God and to worship Him together!
