Helping Your Student Get Involved

We would love to have your student as a part of this ministry, and we know that sometimes it can be difficult to find the right fit for your student. Let us suggest a couple of options:

1) Our midweek event "Elevate," for both middle school and high school, is a great opportunity for students to enjoy friends and have a great time playing games, worshipping, and studying the Bible. Click here for more information about "Elevate."

2) Get your student involved in a small group on Sunday morning. Middle school small groups meet in the upper room in the Hope Building at 9:00am before the 10:30am worship service. High school small groups meet in the same room at 10:30am after the 9:00am worship service. This is a great place for your student to meet new people their age and to get plugged into a great small group environment. Small groups are essential to what we do and want to accomplish in our students.

3) Get your student to participate in any event that we do. The more he/she does the more people they will get to know. Camp, mission trips, retreats, and conferences are great ways to get your student connected quickly. Overnight trips have a way of forcing bonding and connecting to happen.

We want to help you in getting your student plugged in to the student ministry here at Istrouma.  If you need additional information or help, please contact our Student Ministry Office at 225.295.0775  x149.
