Small Groups
On Sundays upstairs in the large meeting room of the Hope Building, we meet as a large group for a time of assembly and teaching, and then we break out into small groups by grade and gender for discussion and life application. Middle school (6th-8th grades) meets at 9:00am, and high school (9th-12th grades) meets at 10:30am. We would love for you to come connect with other students and explore God's word with us.

Why Small Groups?
The answer is simple. Discipleship takes place best in small groups. The focus of your small group and the leaders who lead it is to build relationship bridges with one another that are strong enough to bear the weight of truth. We will be strategic in relationships and in truth. We want to create a culture here that breeds and breathes relationships, truth, spiritual health, spiritual growth, and life transformation. We have limited time to invest in you; research shows that we will get about 35-40 hours a year to invest in you. That is not much time, so we want to be intentional and focused with the time we do have. What we do, how we do it, why we do it isn't just important --- it is critical!
Because getting you connected in a small group is vital to us (what we consider a "win"), we are heading that way. No, what we are doing now is not necessarily small group. Some of our groups are larger than 10. We are all about discipling you in your relationship with God. We want all students to be connected to two or more adults and 6-8 students in a small group setting.
This will start off with some hang out time, and then we will move into a large group assembly where we will do a couple of things. There will be someone to teach the lesson. We will cover announcements and any information we need to give you. Then we'll play a game and jumpstart the lesson with a video or illustration. Then you will break into your small groups where you will talk about, discuss, and wrestle with the lesson.
