NOTE: Parents must participate in one of the two Parenting Classes scheduled for that Baby Dedication class. If unable to attend, families will be automatically registered for the next dedication service.
Baby Dedication will be held at the beginning of the 10:45 Worship Service in the Worship Center. Please feel free to invite grandparents and other relatives and friends to join you for this special time. Families will be asked to join Pastor Matt on the stage to be introduced. Pastor Matt will pray for the families who are participating, and each family will be given a certificate and a letter for their child to open on the day he or she accepts Jesus as their Savior.
Why do we need to submit photos? How should I submit them?
Each family is asked to submit two photos of their child or family (or a combination of the two) to the Preschool Ministry Office on or before the deadline for that registration. The photos will be shown during the dedication service, as the family is being introduced. Please email the photos (sorry -- electronic submissions only!) to jparker@istrouma.org, and include your child's name and the date of the dedication in the subject line.
Will we be able to take photos during the service?
Yes, be sure to bring your camera or video camera for the service, and we will also have a professional photographer on hand to take photos during the service. In addition, each family will have the opportunity to take professional family portraits and these photos will be available to purchase at a later date. Families will receive one photo as a gift from Istrouma's Preschool Ministry.
What time should I arrive?
Ideally, you should arrive approximately 30 minutes before the service start time.
Can we invite guests?
Absolutely! Please feel free to invite extended family, friends, and other special guests.
What about my older children?
Your older children are welcome to sit with your family during the service and then stand with you when your family is introduced, but of course, that's up to you. If you'd rather have your other children sit with a family member or friend, or attend their usual classes, that's fine.
